They will talk about three studies, with varied collaboration tasks, ranging from sharing photos and co-designing cakes, to participating in a CHI workshop within social VR. One of the key challenges they discuss is: how do we gather user data in-situ to improve remote collaborative user experiences for such early technology prototypes? Answering this will help prepare these prototypes for widespread use and market readiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Speaker: Jie Li<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Head of Research and Insights (NL) at EPAM<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Jie Li is an HCI researcher with a background in Industrial Design Engineering. Her research focuses on developing user experience evaluation methods for immersive experiences. She is now the Head of Research and Insights (NL) at EPAM, and a creative cake designer owning a boutique caf\u00e9 called Cake Researcher. He is also on the executive board (events, web, comms) for CHI Nederland (CHI NL) (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/chinederland.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/chinederland.nl\/<\/a>), an ACM SIGCHI Chapter that connects, supports, and represents the HCI community in the Netherlands. He received his PhD in Computer Science and Master\u2019s degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Amsterdam.
