Synchronous & Asynchronous interaction with CHIWORK<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The conference will take a hybrid form, meaning that if you are unable to travel to Amsterdam, you will be able to attend the conference remotely and experience synchronous and asynchronous interaction, depending on the track. We are working to ensure that conference participants can experience a sense of togetherness regardless of how they choose to take part. Our main platform of interaction is a Slack environment with dedicated channels for each part of the conference in which content, like videos submitted by the authors, will be shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Concretely, the hybrid experience for remote attendees of CHIWORK encompasses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Togetherness<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We want both the in-person and remote attendees to be aware of each other, instead of clustering into silos. We want every participant to see not just the presenter, but also other attendees. Furthermore, we will create dedicated channels for different conference events so that all participants can interact on a uniform platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Persistence<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We encourage online discussions about the conference events. Even after a paper, conversation, or talk has ended, those who are tuning in later or those who want to continue an interesting thread, can keep discussing it asynchronously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Balance<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We understand that the experience of in-person and remote will be different because of several constraints.
