As a premier international platform for researchers in the field of human-computer interaction in work contexts, CHIWORK’26 aims to feature insightful presentations, interactive workshops, and valuable networking opportunities.
CHIWORK’26 will bring together distinguished researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to explore the latest advancements, trends, and challenges in human-computer interaction for work. With a program featuring keynotes and technical content, interactive conversations, and what we promise to be a lovely social event, CHIWORK provides a unique opportunity to gain knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations, centered around the future of work.
The CHIWORK’26 program will offer a variety of formats:
- Monday, June 22nd, 2026: Student Consortium and Workshops. In the morning, we will hold the Student Consortium and four workshops. The student consortium allows students to present and discuss their ongoing work with peers and senior researchers. In the afternoon, we will hold another four workshops, and (depending on the number of accepted students), continue with the student consortium. At the end of the day, participants are invited to take a guided tour through Austria’s biggest steel mil (VoestAlpine)l, before we close the day with the conference reception.
- Tuesday to Thursday, June 23rd to June 25th, 2026 – Main Conference Days: The program will include two keynote sessions, full paper presentations, a conversation track, and poster and demo sessions. Additionally, there will be a conference dinner on Wednesday evening.
We offer two modes of attendance: in-person and remote.
In-Person Participation
The registration fee for in-person attendance covers conference participation, lunch and beverages during breaks, and the social events with dinner included.
Online Participation
We will provide online participation for the main presentation sessions. We aim to create, to the extent possible, a synchronous experience that fosters interaction between online and in-person attendees. Please be aware that only presenters of full papers can present online; all other tracks require in-person attendance.
Workshops-only Participation
We have an option to sign up only for the Workshop day, which is held on June 22nd, 2026. This includes tea/coffee/water but does not include lunch, as lunch on this day is self-organized (there is a public Mensa close to Science Park, where workshops will be held). Prices exclude 20% local tax.
