Call for Student Volunteers for the Symposium on Human-Computer Interaction for Work (CHIWORK) 2025!
The organizing committee of Symposium on Human-Computer Interaction for Work (CHIWORK) 2025 is looking for student volunteers. Student Volunteers (SVs) are essential to the success of the conference. We invite enthusiastic and reliable SVs to help us run CHIWORK!
Being an SV provides a unique opportunity to contribute to organising a conference as well as interact closely with contributors, attendees, and your peers. In return for your work, you will get a full conference pass providing you access to all the paper sessions, posters and demos. It is a fantastic opportunity to use this event to build your professional network.The conference will be taking place in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) from June 23rd-25th, 2025.
What Is In It For You?
Being an SV is a very enriching experience. You will get to meet incredible people and make connections. In return for helping us during the conference, you will also have:
- Free registration to the conference including the opportunity to listen to presentations (it covers conference fees).
- An opportunity to network with other students and leading researchers
What Are Your Duties?
- Assist conference guests with registration and check-in
- Provide A/V setup and general technology and room support
- Help setup posters and provide assistance to attendees during the poster session
- Direct the conference guests to events, such as the conference reception• Work approximately 15 hours over the 3 days of the conference
What We Ask of You
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly people, both experienced and those new to volunteering. You must be enrolled as an undergraduate, masters, or doctoral student. Students who are graduating at the time of the conference are also eligible to apply.
How to apply?
The deadline for filling out the questionnaire is the 1st May 2025.
Brief responses are ok! We don’t expect more than a couple of sentences in response to each question. Bullet points are also fine.
